Its colour stood out against the softer tones of the water and the buildings beyond, giving me a clear focus for the drawing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"706\"\u003eI worked into it in the morning light, which felt quieter and more settled. The reflections were softer, and the whole scene had a gentler rhythm to it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"957\"\u003eAs with the others, the drawing is built up through loose, layered marks, allowing the structure to emerge without over-defining it.
