Animals and imagined creatures wander through mountains, forests and strange little worlds, each seemingly caught up in a story of its own. There is so much happening within the image that I hope you discover something new each time you look at it.

The copper plate took me over a month to etch and aquatint, gradually building up the extraordinary amount of detail, texture and tone across the image. It remains one of the largest and most intricate etchings I have ever made.

Although I made The Imaginarium in 2015, I never editioned the plate. I recently rediscovered it in my studio and decided that, more than a decade later, it was finally time to print the edition.

Each print is signed and individually hand-pulled from the original copper plate.

Edition of 30
Printed on Hahnemühle Natural paper
Copper plate size: 42cm × 30cm
