This drawing was made in El Greco Café, during my second visit to Kurashiki.
The last time I was here, I spent days drawing around the town — those drawings are part of my Japan November 2025 collection. This time, I only had an afternoon, so I wandered for a while before settling here.
El Greco is a beautiful, traditional café, full of character. I sat with a coffee and drew the scene in front of me — the small group gathered around the table, the warm interior, and the quiet rhythm of the space.
The drawing is loose and observational, trying to hold onto that feeling of being there — an unhurried moment in a place that invites you to stay a little longer.
