In autumn of 2023 I visited Malta for the first time. I loved drawing the narrow streets with their characteristic painted wooden balconies and the tranquil Barrakka gardens. I stayed at the magnificent Casa Rocca Piccola - a palace in the heart of Valletta that's open to the public - drawing in the house was a real treat.
