A truly special week at Clos Mirabel, with a genuine sense of community and encouragement throughout. Sam met each of us exactly where we were, which made the whole experience feel accessible and supportive.
I arrived feeling unsure, but quickly gained confidence. The sketching exercises helped me learn to really see, and I’ve come away with a much freer approach, just picking up a pencil and drawing in the moment.
Clos Mirabel itself is magical. The care, food and atmosphere made it an experience I didn’t want to leave.

A brilliant week at Clos Mirabel that delivered so much more than I expected. atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a beautiful setting, a bright studio and wonderful food. I loved the balance between focused studio time and space to relax, and the early drawing exercises really helped me settle into the process.
The course flowed naturally through the printmaking techniques, with plenty of encouragement throughout. I’ve come away with real confidence to continue at home. I’ll definitely be back.

I so enjoyed our week at Clos Mirabel. Having the time and space to create in such a beautiful environment, under Sam’s expert guidance, was incredibly special
I particularly loved translating my sketches into a lino-cut design, and was amazed at how much we all progressed during the week. The balance between drawing and printmaking felt just right.
The hospitality, food, accommodation and company were exceptional. I would highly recommend the experience.
