St Lucia Street, Valletta

St Lucia street in Valletta is one of the most photographed streets in this small city. The street is lined with restaurants and cafes, whose tables spill out onto the street. It's busy during the day and heaving at night. I passed it many times as my hotel was nearby and always enjoyed the atmosphere. I started this drawing late one morning, just before people started to arrive for lunch - however, by the time I finished the tables were full as people arrived for their midday meal. This is one of my favourite drawings of my trip.
