Studio workshops
After a long break, I’m so happy to be welcoming people back into my studio in the Northamptonshire countryside. These intimate workshops are limited to just 4 participants, giving you plenty of space, individual guidance, and time to focus. Expect a relaxed, creative atmosphere, the occasional visit from my dachshund Marple, and a generous supply of tea, coffee and homemade cake. Whether you're new to printmaking or looking to expand your skills, you’ll find a warm welcome here. test

Sam is a deeply knowledgeable and encouraging tutor who is skilled in conveying key concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
While remaining respectful of attendees' skill levels, she was able to foster a challenging but achievable pace in my workshop which ensured participants gained the greatest value from their time. I spent my evening on a high, thrilled by the results of our time together.

I learnt lots at the Experimental Printmaking workshop - a fun and informative 3 hours in which Sam taught several techniques allowing time for surprising and pleasing results to emerge!
My previous printmaking experience was some monoprint with just a bit of linocut, but Sam’s teaching and encouragement meant I felt able to participate fully. I gained knowledge and inspiration from this workshop and have continued to experiment since. Highly recommended!

Sam’s workshops are so refreshing! Such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, great for inspiring creativity in a relaxed environment.
The small group setting means you get plenty 1-2-1 tutoring time, as well as group discussions & feedback, and Sam’s knowledge and enthusiasm really shines through. The workshops are well-paced; it’s easy to keep up with Sam’s teaching and there’s no sense of pressure or urgency in trying to complete exercises. Would (and do!) highly recommend Sam’s workshops!
