Why I Draw

I have a lot of energy, I'm always on the go and I find it hard to sit still. Drawing is a way for me to slow down, to focus my energy and to be fully present. When I'm drawing everything else floats away, I'm just looking and making marks. When I emerge from a drawing session, I always feel refreshed and engaged with my surroundings. It's my favourite thing to do without any shadow of a doubt.

Many of you will have followed me on my travels with my sketchbook - I hope you enjoy looking at my drawings.

  • Palacio De Cristal - Madrid

My most recent trip was a few days spent in Madrid, visiting the art galleries and drawing in the parks

  • Upper Barrakka Gardens - Valletta, Malta

Another recent drawing trip was a few days in Valletta, Malta. It was a place I had wanted to visit for a long time, and I loved my days of drawing there.

  • Saint Paul de Vence - Southern France

The French Riviera is a favourite of mine and I've been many times. I especially love Antibes and during my stay this year I took a trip to Saint Paul de Vence to visit the town and also the amazing art collection - Fondation Maeght.
