Advent Treat Day 17 - Charleston Farmhouse
Advent Treat Day 17 - Charleston Farmhouse
This is my drawing of Charleston Farmhouse. The farmhouse was the modernist home and studio of the painters Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, Charleston was a gathering point for some of the 20th century’s most radical artists, writers and thinkers known collectively as the Bloomsbury group. I have visited Charleston many times as it's a place I love. It was a true delight to spend a few hours sitting outside and drawing the front of the house this summer.

Sam Marshall
My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
