This is a very special etching to me and one that I've only just editioned for sale . I made it a few years ago during a tricky time in my life - one thing that has always helped when I feel a bit off beat is to work on something really complicated and intricate and this was the result of one of those times!
The etching is inspired by a small engraving from the 15th century ' Birds and Beasts fighting' in the British Museum - attributed to Baccio Baldini. It's a real favourite of mine and I really enjoyed interpreting it in my own way.
It's a copper plate etching measuring 16 cm x 23cm
Each print is hand - pulled on a Rochat press and printed on Hahnemuhle 300g natural paper with a generous border.
