Antibes provencal market is the hub of the town, it's a real local gem. The market is open everyday apart from Monday and it offers such wonderful regional produce, fresh fruit and veggies, cheese from the mountains, spices and bouquets of cut and dried flowers. When I'm there, I go everyday to get ingredients for my supper and I'm always treated with kindness and familiarity.
I drew this on my recent trip to Antibes, and created quite a crowd around me, passers by were so curious as to what I was up to. I'm delighted with the drawing - a very special memory of the trip.

My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
