I've been fascinated by Romany Caravans ever since I visited the 'Gordon Boswell Romany Museum' in Spalding, near where I grew up.
The caravans are steeped in history, and usually highly decorated, intricately carved, brightly painted and often gilded. They were traditionally used by British Romany travellers but now they are often found around the UK in museums like the Gordon Boswell museum or as unique holiday accommodation.
It is a zinc plate etching measuring 8 x 6 cm.
Each print is hand - pulled on my Gunning press and printed on Hahnemuhle 300g natural paper.
It is an edition of 65, signed and numbered in pencil on front
Handmade with Love
My artwork is handprinted with love from my colourful studio in the heart of rural England and shipped to customers worldwide.
Wherever possible I upcycle and reuse packaging materials to help our planet and keep delivery costs to the customer low.
My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
