Grasmere

After picking up some of the famous gingerbread from the Grasmere Gingerbread Shop (which lived up to the hype), I went in search of a shady spot to sit and savour it. The village was busy, the sun was relentless, and cool corners were in short supply. Eventually, Marple and I ended up in the garden of a hotel tucked just behind the main street. She flopped down on the grass while I sat under the trees, enjoying the view and the gingerbread. I made this drawing afterwards, while everything felt still and peaceful. One of those quiet, contented moments that sticks with you.

Each print is the same size as the original sketchbook page. You can choose whether to include the sketchbook seam or not when ordering. Larger prints (25 x 21 cm) are £35, and smaller ones (23 x 12 cm or 17 x 14 cm) are £30. All prints are made on archival-quality Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
