Stiffkey marshes 1

Highsand Creek is my favourite campsite in Norfolk - simple, quiet, and perched right on the edge of the Stiffkey marshes. I’ve returned many times with Marple, and each visit brings something new to draw. I love the contrast between the shifting saltwater creeks and the thick, textural grasses that catch the light in different ways depending on the weather. This was one of those moody, changeable days, where the sky kept threatening rain and the colours of the marsh deepened with every passing cloud. Marple found a warm patch in the sun while I sat and sketched this.

Each print is the same size as the original sketchbook page. You can choose whether to include the sketchbook seam or not when ordering. Larger prints (25 x 21 cm) are £35, and smaller ones (23 x 12 cm or 17 x 14 cm) are £30. All prints are made on archival-quality Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
