One of my followers volunteers for conservation charity in Cumbria, working to reintroduce hazel dormouse back into the woodlands. She sent me a photo of a dormouse in her palm, and I knew I had to turn it into an etching.
It's one of my favourite etchings I've ever made.
It is a zinc plate etching measuring 8 x 6 cm.
Each print is hand - pulled on my Gunning press and printed on Hahnemuhle 300g natural paper.
It is an edition of 100, signed and numbered in pencil on front
Handmade with Love
My artwork is handprinted with love from my colourful studio in the heart of rural England and shipped to customers worldwide.
Wherever possible I upcycle and reuse packaging materials to help our planet and keep delivery costs to the customer low.
My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
