Drawing into Print -Curen

In this 2-day workshop, we will explore drawing and look at ways to turn your drawings into prints. Sketchbook drawings need reworking and re-thinking to successfully produce a linocut print from them.
In the middle of the studio there will be an extravagant autumnal still life from which to draw from. You will spend the first morning drawing using pencil and charcoal, producing quick expressive drawings. In the afternoon you will experiment with various forms of monoprinting.
On the second day you will draw from the still life again but this time exploring how to draw for linocut and investigate how this approach differs. You will use one of your drawings and turn it into an A6 single colour linocut.
