Little Hall in Lavenham is a beautiful 14th-century house tucked just off the market square. Over the centuries it’s been altered and restored many times, with the final major transformation in the early 20th century by the Gayer-Anderson brothers. They were cultured and widely travelled, and filled the house with artworks and artefacts collected from around the world — many of which are still on display today.
The whole place is run by volunteers. On the day I visited, a lovely woman took the time to walk me through the house, sharing stories and pointing out details I would’ve otherwise missed. Afterwards, Marple and I sat in the sun in the walled garden, where I made this little sketch.
Each print is the same size as the original sketchbook page. You can choose whether to include the sketchbook seam or not when ordering. Larger prints (25 x 21 cm) are £35, and smaller ones (23 x 12 cm or 17 x 14 cm) are £30. All prints are made on archival-quality Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.

INTRODUCING
Sam Marshall
My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
