I often travel to museums and galleries to see a specific painting and this was the case for this lovely little Vuillard painting in the Palais de Beaux Arts in Lille. I had seen reproductions in the past but seeing it in real life was a total joy. The soft green and pastel pink with the touch of bright yellow creates such a fresh and poetic painting. The colour of the wall in the gallery was inspired by the pink in the painting too.
I had the most wonderful couple of hours drawing the painting , a true delight!
