2025 : Giardino Bardini, Florence

First day in Florence and the heat had really started to build. I needed somewhere shady and quiet to draw, so I headed to Giardino Bardini  - a peaceful hillside garden just across the river. It’s known for its views over the city, but I was more drawn to the cool green spaces and terraced paths. I found a spot under the trees and drew this view, enjoying the calm after the bustle of Siena. I loved drawing here, though I did manage to lose my favourite hat (the one I bought in Japan) somewhere along the way.

Each print is the same size as the original sketchbook page. You can choose whether to include the sketchbook seam or not when ordering. Larger prints (25 x 21 cm) are £35, and smaller ones (23 x 12 cm or 17 x 14 cm) are £30. All prints are made on archival-quality Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
