Omicho Market No 1. Kanazawa
Omicho Market No 1. Kanazawa
Omicho market in Kanazawa was one of the highlights of my time in Kanazawa. It's a busy and colourful network of covered streets lined by about 200 shops and stalls. While most shops specialize in the excellent local seafood and produce, you can also find flowers, clothing, kitchen tools and more on sale. At this point in my trip, I was craving fresh fruit which isn't that easy to come by in Japan, so thankfully the market delivered with abundance. It gets busy midday so I made sure I got there early one morning and this is the first of two drawings that I completed that morning.
This replica drawing from my sketchbook can be purchased with or without the seam of the sketchbook visible. Please select your preference.
