When I moved to Holly Tree Cottage 6 years ago, I was amazed by the abundance of red kites in the sky . My village is tiny and it seemed there were more red kites than human inhabitants! I soon discovered that a couple down the road had been feeding them for years hence the large numbers - at 4pm everyday the sky was full of them. Over the years due to a number of complaints they have reduced the feeds and there are a lot less in the sky now but still plenty for me admire everyday.

My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
