Ryedale Folk Museum is a true hidden gem tucked away in the North York Moors. A friend told me it would be right up my street — and she couldn’t have been more right. I was completely charmed by the museum’s collection of historic buildings, which beautifully document rural life from the Iron Age through to the 1950s. This drawing is of the little reconstructed high street that greets you as you enter the museum — I loved the cheerful colours and the details that brought it all to life, from the signs and shop fronts to the bike leaning quietly by the wall. You can spot Marple having a little rest in the grass while I drew.
Each print is the same size as the original sketchbook page. You can choose whether to include the sketchbook seam or not when ordering. Larger prints (25 x 21 cm) are £35, and smaller ones (23 x 12 cm or 17 x 14 cm) are £30. All prints are made on archival-quality Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
