Tulips have always been my favourite flowers. I grew up in Spalding, Lincolnshire famed for its fields of tulips and the wonderful but sadly no longer 'Tulip parade', where every May decorated floats full of tulips paraded its way through the streets of the town, definitely one of the highlights of my childhood!
This is my etching of a vase of tulips.
It is a zinc plate etching measuring 13cm x 10cm.
Each print is hand - pulled on my Gunning press and printed on Hahnemuhle 300g natural paper.
It is an edition of 65, signed and numbered in pencil on front

My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
