2025: Via Francesco Melosio, Città della Pieve

Day seven of my drawing and printing week in Città della Pieve. I made this on the last morning, after the students had gone and I was waiting for the train to Siena. It felt strange to be on my own again after such a full week of creativity and connection. I sat and drew for a few quiet hours, taking in the soft light and the stillness of the town. There’s something quite soothing about drawing when you’ve got that mix of sadness and anticipation bubbling away. I let the marks be loose and layered, especially in the plants and shadows. It felt like a good way to mark the end of the week.

Each print is the same size as the original sketchbook page. You can choose whether to include the sketchbook seam or not when ordering. Larger prints (25 x 21 cm) are £35, and smaller ones (23 x 12 cm or 17 x 14 cm) are £30. All prints are made on archival-quality Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
