2025 : Via Delle Scuole Pie, Città della Pieve

Day two of my drawing and printing week in Città della Pieve. We were out in the town sketching, and I found this quiet little street full of shutters, arches and flower pots. A couple of students were nearby, drawing too, and there’s something really grounding about working alongside others like that. You just settle in and get on with it. I kept the marks loose and let the textures build up as I went, trying to catch the rhythm of the buildings and the light bouncing off the stone.

Each print is the same size as the original sketchbook page. You can choose whether to include the sketchbook seam or not when ordering. Larger prints (25 x 21 cm) are £35, and smaller ones (23 x 12 cm or 17 x 14 cm) are £30. All prints are made on archival-quality Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
